QUESTION:
"I’m struggling to stay spiritually disciplined. What can I do to get on track?"
"Do whatever you need to do to be in God’s Word every day."
ANSWER:
If you take an honest look at your life, you’re going to discover that you are wasting time somewhere. So if you have to get up early, stay up late, or stop watching television—do whatever you need to do to set aside time for studying the Scripture.
For me personally, I have a Bible that has a daily Bible reading, and I go through it every day. I spend time not only reading and studying Scripture but also praying the Scripture. There are a lot of good plans for Bible reading. Get something that is going to discipline you daily. Soon, once you miss a day, you’ll feel like you’re missing a meal, and you’ll want to go back.
We all need discipline. Put it on your calendar if you need to! Do whatever you need to do to be in God’s Word every day because, if you go without feeding on it, you’re going to find yourself spiritually weak and malnourished.
